Its been a crazy past 3 weeks!

Hi peeps..
I know its been a while since I posted in here. I have been busy flying off to Singapore, Bangkok and doing all the touristy stuff with a family member from the USA. When I'm not doing the touristy stuff, I'm in bed sick!. Hows that for a crazy 3 weeks!

Anyways.. I'm way behind on my DT assignment for Shabby Chic. Bev's been very patient and understanding. I'm sooo sorry Bev!. Anyhow..The antibiotics finally kicked in yesterday and I am feeling much better!. I started doing this mini-album like 3 weeks ago and managed to finish it last night.

This is a Purse Mini Album using the Sizzix BIGZ Die (656697) which is available at Shabby Chic.  Isn't it sooo cute and adorable? Seriously, I don't know how anybody can resist NOT getting these dies!. There is so much you can do with it.

I made this mini album for my sister Hjh Aisyah featuring her very very cute granddaughter Dania. Take a look at this!.

Anyhoo.. I have to run and pick up Mariah from school. If you want to see the rest of the pages.. please drop by Shabby Chic.

See ya later

Hi peeps,
Just wanted to share this giveaway at Irene Tan's Blog (Here). She is celebrating 1 million hits on her blog. Yep, can you believe it? 1 million hits. Head over her blog and be amazed by her work. I am.

On another note, I received an email from Lolly Chops today as a response to a comment I left on her blog. Can you believe that? She had like more than 200 comments on that post! She's one amazing scrapper and her teal projects makes me want to cry they are so gorgeous! Thanks Lolly, you made my night tonight.

Canvas & Mini Album Class on the 26th June 2011

Hi Peeps,
I have an awesome announcement to share and here it goes:
I will be conducting a Canvas plus mini-album class this coming Sunday 26th June. Full details below. The Happy Scrappers are very family oriented so for those who dedicate their Sunday time with the kids, there is also a class for kids of 7 years and above at the same time. This will be conducted by the very talented scrapper, Dina. So there isn't really any excuse not to have fun scrapping and learning something new on Sunday 26th right?

Just a little bit more details on The Canvas + Mini-album project that I will be teaching.
We will be using my 3 top favourite SB products: Webster's Pages Pattern Papers, Tim Holtz embellies and Prima!. I hope to see you all there :)

Cheers!

Its been an exciting week!

Hi peeps,
Been wondering as to what I've been up to these last 2 weeks? Well.. you know what they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case the "pictures" says it all. Enjoy them and please leave a comment and let me know what you think :)

Altered Frame:
I made this for HS Crop party on the 31st May using Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime paper collection. I love how it turned out!

Altered Apron:
Each member of the HS crew had to alter their own apron and I came up with this. I had the pleasure of attending Donna Downey's Class in Singapore. She is one amazing and talented lady. Her class was simply awesome and the best part for me is the art journal. The inspiration for this apron actually came from my art journal. Thanks Donna!

Altered Birdcage:

AND the very best part of my weekend was spending time with my HS peeps and fellow scrappers at the HS 1st Crop Party. It was a blast!

Layout & Mini-Album for Shabby Chic DT

Hi fellow bloggers,
I have a few happy news and OMG moments this month of May.
Firstly, My layout was featured in the Prima blog for the April BAP challenge. How cool is that? Seriously wasn't expecting that at all so it was like OMG!! is that for real?? he..he..

On top of that,
I just finished two projects for my DT assignment with Shabby Chic. A layout and a mini album. I spent a whole lot of time on these two and I'm happy with the outcome.

Here's a picture of the layout:

This time I tried something different and used a gold cardstock and tearing effect on the edges. It was a happy outcome from a mistake..lol. Zooming on to the pocket watch.. don't you just adore that ??? I wanted really badly to save that watch for hoarding! :)

A few close ups:

Love that birdie!. I die cut a canvas sheet with my sizzix dies and painted the canvas using acrylic paint to get a bright pink birdie. Isn't it just cute??

Here's a list of materials I used in this layout:

1. PP (Pink Paislee & Prima)
2. Gold Cardstock
3. Prima Flowers & Say it with Crystals
4. Prima chipboard
5. Jolee's boutique (Pocket watch)
6. Martha Steward Border Punch
7. Sizzix Bigz Die - Birds (656551)

Father's Day is coming up soon and its only fitting that I dedicated this album to my husband and our little girl's Precious Moments together.

I have taken a few close up pictures of my favorite pages but if you want to see the full album, go visit Shabby Chic and have a look :)

A few close ups:

The little bird and butterfly is actually sitting onto some branches. Sorry, I didn't focus onto the branch on this picture. Anyhow, just wanted to point out that those branches are die cut from BigZ (Branch tree). Its simply amazing what you can do with these dies!

I used lots and lots of K&Co dimensional stickers to decorate the door. The door opens to reveal the following sentiment "A man is not where he lives but where he loves". Isn't it adorable?

The other side of the tag is this picture. Its one of my most precious photograph. Taken 7 years ago at the SCBU unit in KB, Brunei. No posing for the camera just looking at the baby with love.. precious!

I used sizzix embossing folder (Tim Holtz Alterations) to emboss the green tag above. Don't you just love the effect? and yeah.. butterflies!!

Here's a list of materials I used for this mini-album:

1. PP (Pink Paislee - Butterfly garden collection)
2. Brown cardstock
3. Prima Flowers & Say it with Crystals
4. Jolee's boutique (Pocket watch)- Didnt take a picture of this
5. Sizzix on the edge (Plaque & Postage), Bigz Weathered Clock, Bigz Branch Tree, Tim Holtz embossing folder (Clocks).

Thanks for stopping by.
Till next time, enjoy the rest of your weekend!
